This beautifully restored tiny farmhouse is an ideal holiday home for a romantic coastal retreat. It is located next to the archaeological site of the Chousti cave. Here you find yourself in the middle of nature with no direct neighbors, even though it is just a few hundred meters’ walk to the white sandy beaches of Diakofti, the ferry port of Kythira, and all the local restaurants and bars.
The stone-built house has a traditional barrel-vaulted ceiling and consists of one room which comprises a sitting area, a comfortable lounge bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a spacious bathroom. The large terrace offers sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Please note that the property is nestled in a natural setting:
- The final 400 meters from the village to the house is an unpaved dirt road with uneven terrain. While accessible with a standard vehicle when driven carefully and slowly, we recommend a car with higher ground clearance or a 4×4 for greater comfort and ease.
- A local beekeeper maintains hives in the surrounding area, but this causes no disturbance whatsoever.

The village of Diakofti offers all the essential amenities to ensure your stay is as comfortable and pleasant as possible. For your daily needs, Minimarket Bournakis is open year-round, providing groceries and essentials right in the village. Please keep in mind that the shop has more limited opening hours during the winter months, so it is wise to plan your shopping accordingly during that time.
When it comes to dining and relaxation, there are plenty of options along the coast. Café Minas generally opens around Greek Easter and is the perfect spot for a refreshing drink or a snack. For an unforgettable dining experience by the water, Restaurant Manolis welcomes guests from May to September, where you can enjoy delicious meals at a table situated directly next to the sea. Additionally, Café and Snackbar Diapori offers an excellent alternative for light bites and refreshments. For those looking to lounge by the water, both Café Minas and Diapori also provide sunbeds for rent.
